Let's go straight UK's madness with SE16- J69 - Evil Ep :
J69 is a music maker from Sheffield,England. Mainly influenced by Mike Skinner's (The Streets) works and by T2 for his metallic and distorted basslines, he started producing UKBassline/Grime music 4/5 years ago.
In 2010, he get more involved in the UKB scene by founding CryBaby Records where he released his first Ep. Ensues remixes for Direct, Gremino and Lao, plus an Ep at "OffMeNut Records" demonstrating his willingness to make evolve the UK Bassline scene.
He also got support from from DJ Q (BBC 1Xtra) & DJ EZ (Kiss100) with interviews and playlisting.
Evil EP //
Evil with its satanic synths and You with its "happy but still rude" touch are two mutant takes on Bassline where J69 showcases the darker & rougher side of this apparently light genre. With Void, he gives us a more "Grime/Dubstep" track confirming that we have a pure UK producer.
To complete the British flavor, the boy from Birmingham, Laney, give us a Grimey remix with a touch of Juke/Soca of You that takes us straight to Notting Hill Carnival.
"Would you like a bit more custard with that ?"
